Working with visually very simple forms, Irazu habitually uses elements like walls, doors and ceilings that recall houses or rooms, although subjected to transgressions. He looks to diversify materials, using wood, cardboard, vinyl and painting, and gives importance to the finish and the relation between functionality and dysfunctionality, which allows him to redefine present-day sculpture and meditate on its current state. From his earliest works through to Habitat, in which he constructs and deconstructs an effective space, with a certain affinity with specific works by Txomin Badiola, Irazu's career has basically been an exploration of space and the possibility of "inhabiting" it.
