The Bilbao Fine Arts Museum is presenting its first Equality Plan, reflecting its commitment to society

 

In a reflection of its mission to contribute to the education of society and to project its cultural values, the museum has acknowledged as a strategic aim the formulation of good practices that encourage equal opportunities between men and women, one of the fundamental bases of a just and responsible society.

The museum is aware of its powers of influence as a driving force that contributes to social progress and to overcoming gender imbalances from the standpoint of shared responsibility and fairness.

After a process of profound reflection the museum has thus produced its first Equality Plan which is aimed at guaranteeing optimum practices through the implementation of a series of corporate commitments in different fields of action, the central argument of which is equality between men and women as a universal principle of law.
