A later painting, Harbour, seems to have been affected by the necessary simplification the form involves and the rather non-realist colour of the enamels. Here Arrue strips down description as much as possible, geometrizing it, although he creates an accumulative effect from the number of elements he includes, as if they were all models in wood. The acid, metallic colour helps to create the unreal, almost dream-like atmosphere this cold and depopulated landscape conveys. (Javier Viar)
