Donación de doña María de Arechavaleta, de la colección de don José Palacio

Made of brass, copper and iron, this almost square tsuba with slightly rounded corners may be from the late 17th century or early 18th century. Both reverse and obverse bear rather simplified adornments, with almost parallel and concentric lines. It belongs to a type of decorative design known as the "centipede".
