Influential British sculptor Anthony Caro created his personal vision of the Last Judgement for the 1999 Venice Biennial. After the Biennial, the work was presented at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum in what was its first installation in a major international museum. Comprising 25 large sculptural pieces, the installation provided an interesting comparison between modern and contemporary sculpture, as it coincided with the Auguste Rodin exhibition.
