Exhibitions

Over the last three years, from 2003 to 2005, the Fine Arts Museum has received the donations of seven works of Carmelo Ortiz de Elgea (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1944), six oil paintings and one sculpture, all of which are large size and of great significance in the artist’s evolution. The sculpture and five of the oil paintings have been donated by the artist himself and the remaining painting has been donated by a private collector. What is presented here is a collection of works donated to form part of our collection. In the past, the artist has made other donations of drawings and oil paintings and two of them, which were donated in 2000, have been included in the exhibition as they are closely related to the theme.
