Dora Maar, beyond Picasso
Lecture
Following various telephone conversations with Dora Maar (1907-1997) and in-depth research in the family archives, the art historian Victoria Combalía has reconstructed the life of this fascinating woman who was part of the intellectual scene in Paris in the 1950s.
Known for the almost decade-long relationship that she maintained with Picasso (who entrusted her with the celebrated photographic report on the creation of the Guernica), Dora Maar was above all a notable Surrealist photographer.
