Dance attacks in the museum
Celebration of International Dance Day. Sunday, 28 April
In collaboration with the Department of Culture and Education of the City Council of Bilbao and sponsored by the Basque Government, the Association of Dance Professionals in the Basque Country organises participative, open events with the aim of introducing dance to all sectors of the public.
On 28 April from 12 noon the Museum will be the venue for Dance Attacks, a project that will also be taking place in other cities including Granada, Madrid and Valencia. The concept, devised by the choreographer Margaret Jova, involves 5-minute works in unexpected spaces that are also filmed and uploaded onto the social networks. Visitors to the Museum will thus encounter four pieces of choreography performed in four areas inside the Museum.
lso taking place in Bilbao will be dance classes on the square outside the Teatro Arriaga.
