Cadena Ser becomes a Trustee of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum
Juan Mari Aburto, mayor of Bilbao and president of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum Foundation; Begoña Marañón, Cadena Ser's regional director for the Basque Country; and Miguel Zugaza, director of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, signed a collaborative agreement this morning through which Cadena SER becomes a Trustee of the museum.
As a Collaborating Company, since 2008 Cadena Ser has offered the museum slots to promote its activities. Through this new agreement it will now be much more closely connected to the museum, joining the Board of Trustees which is the institution's highest governing body.
After nearly a decade of collaboration, Cadena SER is strengthening its commitment to the museum by becoming a Trustee of the Foundation. The institutional Trustees – the City Council of Bilbao, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Basque Government – ensure the fulfilment of the museum's founding aims, working with the other Trustees: BBK, Metro Bilbao, Deia, Iberdrola, EITB, El Correo, Fundación BBVA, Fundación Banco Santander, Fundación Gondra Barandiarán, and Petronor.
Begoña Marañón, Cadena SER's regional director for the Basque Country, will be representing Cadena SER on the Board of Trustees of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum Foundation.
