The online collection and picture sale

• Waiting for the Unfinished Drawing belongs to a more literal hyperrealism. It is a cold New York vision obtained from an interior of impeccable spatial purity. The image seen through the great window comes from a photograph by Alfred Stieglitz in the 1930s. The work may be taken as a homage to what is known in architecture as "the international style" and above all to the work of Mies van der Rohe. The interior recreates the lines of rationalist architecture and introduces elements like the green marble and the column. Here, Lazkano has done away with the expressive intensity of the previous works and eliminated everything that is not merely representative of reality. (Javier Viar) (Marta García Maruri)
