- Occasionally he casts his eye on his surroundings, in a technically thoroughgoing execution of the sort found in the triptych The Intellectuals of my Village, where he uses collage to compose a work with cuttings from newspapers and magazines. Altogether it recalls a traditional scene like the romerías or religious processions of José Arrue. The title quotes a work by Ramón de Zubiaurre. However, everything is presided by the open irony of art as an element of critical resistance to power. (Silvia García Lusa)
