In the late 1980s he introduced colour and began to experiment with materials like wood, iron, steel and stone, achieving greater dynamism in his works. He also started situating sculpture on high, giving it a lighter look, as may be appreciated in Double Trouble, where two Arne Jacobsen chairs are fixed to two wooden bases on the wall. Badiola is looking for interrelations, uses multiplicity and repetition, which functions as a medium for creating movement and fluctuation, expressions close to Structuralism. [Silvia García Lusa]
