"Taurus. From Myth to Ritual" to open pre-inauguration one evening for Friends of the Museum only: Saturday 5 June, 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.

The exhibition Taurus: From myth to ritual, made possible by the generous sponsorship of BBK and Iberdrola and the cooperation of Euskaltel, joins in the centenary celebrations of Bilbao bullfight appreciation society Club Cocherito de Bilbao with a hugely impressive group of 200-plus works that give a good idea of the cultural significance of the bull and the iconography the animal has inspired throughout the history of art: from a 6th century-BC Greek amphora to engravings by Goya and paintings by Picasso and Barceló, from ancestral myth to the modern bullfight.
